Homologous Structures - Looking at common tissues or bone structures that have developed from a common ancestor reveals how closely related certain organisms are
Embryological Development - The study of embryos and how early development in some organisms resemble each other show close evolutionary relationships
DNA and Proteins- similarities and differences in DNA sequences and type of proteins indicates evolutionary relationships
Alternative Methods of Classification- Cladistic Analysis is a process whereby organisms are organized according to derived characters, or adaptations. The end result, a cladogram, shows how closely organisms are related to one another. We will explore this topic further later on.
